This season the Jr. Lightning class in the JEGS.com Jr. Dragster Series saw some of the best of the next generation of racers contend for the 2021 Championship.  The class saw a multitude of racers sitting at the top of the points sheet during the season, but it was Blaine Bazell who after all the points were tallied came away with the championship.

This season the Modern Muscle class saw some new faces racing and some veteran racers take home event wins.  The points championship came down to the final race of the season with June Suain and her ’06 Mustang taking home her first ever Modern Muscle track championship.

We are proud to announce the 2021 National Trail Raceway Awards Banquet will take place on Saturday Night, January 29th at the Newark VFW Hall. 

We will be honoring the champions from the JEGS Wednesday Night Series, JEGS.com Jr. Dragster Series and our JEGS ET Series.  We will also be honoring all our special award winners that evening as well.

This season the Motorcycle class at the JEGS Wednesday Night series saw a familiar name at the top of the points standings at the end of the year, Marshall Hutchinson Jr. Hutchinson is always a rider to be reckoned with on the JEGS Wednesday Night Series and this year was no different.

We are excited to announce the 2022 National Trail Raceway drag racing schedule.  Next season is shaping up to be another great year for racers in Central Ohio.

Some of the highlights of the season will be the return of the Spring Import Face-Off April 24 and the Fall Import Face-Off September 4.

May 7 is the Hillbilly Nationals Demolition Drag Race which is a fun event for the whole family.

Hunter Wolfe entered the 2021 JEGS ET Series season as the reigning Division 3 High School Champion but still wanted to win more trophies.  The young man from Lancaster wanted to put his name on the JEG ET Series High School Championship trophy and that is exactly what he did this season.

New for 2022 the Trails 300 bracket race on August 26-28. 

This event will be limited to 150 Box and 150 No Box entries.  The classes will be separated with separate payouts.  This event will give both Box and No Box racers a chance to compete at National Trail Raceway for a little more payout but also not having to worry about super large car counts either.  The event will be pre-register only and spots will go on sale at the beginning of 2022.  We will also have a full flyer at that time as well.

A new class, Bottom Bulb, was added to the JEGS Wednesday Night Series in 2021 and it was designed for any racer either footbraking or using a transbrake and no delay boxes allowed.   The first ever Bottom Bulb champions was won by Dylan Spring, a young man that has become one of the rising young racers here at National Trail Raceway.

From everyone here at National Trail Raceway we would like to say congrats to Garreth Sheppeard on winning the 2021 NHRA Summit ET Motorcycle National Championship!  Garreth went to Las Vegas this past weekend representing National Trail Raceway on the biggest stage and took the win!
