The Jr. Lightning class is the most advanced class in the JEGS.com Jr. Dragster Series.  Racers range from 13 to 18 years old and usually have been racing longer than any other Jr. classes.  This year the points battle was tight all season long, but it was the veteran and one of the most experienced racers in the JEGS.com Jr. Dragster Series taking home the championship, Kendylle Brown.

When you know it is your last year in a Jr. Dragster there is only one goal, win a championship.  That is exactly what Kendylle Brown did.  The year started out better than ever for Kendylle racking up 2 wins and a runner-up in the first 3 events of the season.  Disaster struck the team in June with a blown motor, and they struggled getting the new combination to work which resulted in dropped points, allowing other racers to tighten up the points race.  But Kendylle absolutely dominated the final 4 races of the year winning all 4 of them and clinching the Jr. Lightning championship.

“This championship means more than anything to me. Being my final season and being able to win this championship against some of the best racers in the division.  We set our goals at the beginning of the season and to be able to succeed makes me proud,” said a smiling Kendylle Brown. “I want to thank my mom Danyelle and my dad Kenny for their support and love and helping me chase my dreams of drag racing.”

With this being her last year in a Jr. Dragster Kendylle will be turning on as many win lights as she can in her S-10 this coming season.

Congrats to Kendylle Brown the 2024 JEGS.com Jr. Dragster Series Jr. Lightning champion!
