The 2019 JEGS ET Series Super Pro Motorcycle class saw Scott Sheppeard win his first ever track championship. Scott, who is a former Division 7 Race of Champions winner, has been racing since 1980 and has always had a track championship on his list of goals and finally took that honor with him at the end of the season.
This season, Scott put his ’00 Suzuki into the final round six times out of twelve races. He scored victories in four of those races. Scott’s had one of the best seasons in his racing career. He started the season strong at both National Trail Raceway and Kil-Kare Raceway and he never lost momentum. Scott was able to find a good spot on the tree and it helped him the rest of the season as he knocked off double 0 to low teen lights throughout the summer.
“This championship means more to me than most will ever know. I have been racing for 39 years and for 25 of those I have been chasing a track championship. We race as a family and this championship is our family’s championship to enjoy. Without my wife Melinda and son Garreth by my side at track this year wouldn’t have been possible,” said Scott.
Scott’s sponsors this year included Sheppeard Racing, Shellhaas Racing, Oink Johnson on Ebay, Carmichael Racing, Turbo Toms House of Glass, Nugent’s Body Shop, Hard Times Parts and Service, Dustin Lee Racing and JEGS.
In 2020 Scott plans on racing as much as possible. Scott will also be competing in one of the richest motorcycle bracket races in history next year with $50,000 on the line.
Congrats to Scott Sheppeard the 2019 JEGS Performance ET Series Super Pro Motorcycle Champion.
