2019 Jr Storm Champion

The Jr. Storm class saw one young racer lead the points from the very first race of the year to the last event of the season. The 2019 Season was all about Karson Tanzillo, as he fended off stiff competition from all the Jr. Storm racers over the summer.

Karson started the season with a victory at the first race of the year. That win was just the beginning for the young racer from Pataskala. That day he was also joined in the winner’s circle by his older brothers Maddox Tanzillo and Logan Cook. The season continued to go Karson’s way as he put his car into the final round in 6 races out of 10, scorring 3 victories this season. Karson worked on his big end driving this season and it worked well as he clinched the 2019 Jr. Storm championship.

“This year one of the best moments was when I beat my brother Frank in the final round at the July 28th event. To finally win a Championship at National Trail Raceway like all my brothers feels great to me. I now have a Championship trophy of my own,” said Karson.

Without the love and support of his family this season would not have been possible for Karson. He wanted to make sure that all his family knew that he appreciated them, his Mom (Hollie), Dad (Mark), brothers (Frank, Maddox and Logan Cook) and his sister Brooklyn (aka Moon Pie). His crew included Clay Brown and Ryan Dovenbarger, his crew chief at Bristol.

Next year Karson plans on going after another National Trail Raceway Championship.

Congrats to Karson Tanzillo the 2019 Jr Storm Champion.
