We held our 2019 Drivers’ Meetings this past weekend. The following are some of the topics that came up during the meetings and answers to the questions. Please make sure to read through the notes and make sure to go to the 2019 Rules page and see the class regulations for the 2019 Season.
Jr. Dragster Meeting Notes:
The run order for the Jr. Dragsters will change and will be as follows: (Jr. 3, Jr. 2, Jr. 1). Meaning we will run fast to slow in the JEGS.com Jr. Dragster run order.
The 2019 JEGS Jr. Dragster Clash will be held on Saturday, October 12th.
Time-slips for Jr. Dragster will be at the base of the tower.
If your car breaks prior to making a time run, you will receive entry credit for the amount of the tech card minus the spectator admission fee for the day. If you want to receive points for the day then there will be no credit issued.
If your car breaks prior to 1st round of eliminations, you will receive 50% entry credit for the amount of the tech card minus the spectator admission fee for the day. If you want to receive points for the day then there will be no credit issued.
If you break prior to first round and would like to receive points then you must come to the tower and fill out a no-show form. This form must be filled out and signed by the driver the day of the event to receive points.
If you are electing to buy multiple entries, you may purchase your 2nd tech card in the tower with cash only. You may still purchase your tech card at the gate if you choose not to use cash or for convenience.
Buckeye Bracket Triple Crown:
The rule will be 1 driver 1 car 2 classes for each day.
1st round of eliminations will be random pairing, the first-round potential bye will be the racer that is closest to the index without going under in time-trials.
Wednesday Night Series:
Speed Angels will now be a 9.50 and slower class.
In Truck Eliminator eliminations we will separate the Box, Slicks and Street Tire trucks from one another until the class is laddered. Slicks vs Slicks, Street Tires vs Street Tires, Box vs Box until there is only 1 left then they will merge into slicks. Once down to 8 trucks or less then they will all go on a ladder.
Payout Pool for Big Dawg and Open Comp. Racers that choose to race in either of these classes will have the option to enter the payout pool. It is $20 cash to enter and the split will 80/20. The racer that goes the furthest in eliminations will get the 80% and the racer that goes the 2nd furthest in eliminations will get 20%. In the event of tie the payout will be split among those racers tied.
